Kington Langley Tennis Court
& Club
As you
receive this month’s magazine, Wimbledon will be underway – who
will be lifting the trophies this year? Federer, Nadal or even
Murray? Ivanovic, Sharapova or possibly Jankovic? Could it be an
unseeded player?
Don’t worry if you miss it, there is still a chance to see some
local tennis on a Thursday night at our own tennis court in the
village. Probably not up to the same standard but it still can be
pretty entertaining!!!! Perhaps even pop along and have a go
yourself.
Club Nights
are on Thursday evenings from 6.15pm and the “Family Fun Tennis
Mornings” are on the last Saturday of each month from 10.00am
(next one Saturday 26th July.)
If you would
like to become a member it’s not too late and is only £20.00 for
adults and £7.50 for children for the year (until end March 2009).
If you just want an odd game of tennis, then why not use the court
on a casual basis for £5.00 per hour. There is a booking system
for the court hire.
If you are
interested in becoming a member, want to book a court, or just to
find out more then contact:
Sandy Burton on 758165 or Jens
Anderson on 750391

Casual Play
Non-members can play on a casual
basis at a rate of £5 per hour. The key can be collected from and
monies paid to any of the contacts listed below.
Club Nights
Club evenings take place every
THURSDAY EVENING (6.30pm start -
please confirm start time with an existing member prior to
attendance). Players rotate every 4 games and mix partners. Club
nights aim to be casual, relaxed and fun. All new members are
welcome to join us regardless of standard of tennis.
Additional club nights may be
organized for the more serious players if demand increases.
Fundraising and Events
The tennis club is looking to
raise money to fund the resurfacing of the tennis court within the
next 2 years. The fundraising commenced with the sale of ‘soup
and rolls’ at the Scarecrow weekend. Look out for future
fundraising events including…
