MINUTES OF ANNUAL STATUTORY MEETING OF KINGTON LANGLEY PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE COMMITTEE ROOM OF THE VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 8 MAY 2006

PRESENT: Cllr. Peter Hart (Chairman), Cllr. Mrs. Betty Bird, Cllr. Keith Burton, Cllr. Mrs. Val Giles, Cllr. Dennis Gill, Cllr. Simon Harris, Cllr. Jill Saunders, Cllr. Rev. John Schofield and Cllr. Euan Sudbury plus Mrs. Sue Hart (Clerk).

APOLOGIES for absence were received from District Councillor Peter Green and County Councillor Jane Scott.

On a proposal from Cllr. Betty Bird seconded by Cllr. Keith Burton, IT WAS RESOLVED unanimously that Cllr. Peter Hart be elected as Chairman. The Chairman signed his Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

On a proposal from Cllr. Rev. John Schofield, seconded by Cllr. Jill Saunders, IT WAS RESOLVED unanimously that Cllr. Keith Burton be elected as Vice-Chairman. The Vice-Chairman signed his Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

The Register of Members Interests was circulated to all councillors to initial and date that they had checked that their declarations were up to date.

There were no declarations of interest for the meeting.

MINUTES

Minutes of the meeting held on 10 April 2006 had been circulated to all Councillors and were agreed by all. On a proposal from Cllr. Rev. John Schofield, seconded by Cllr. Jill Saunders, IT WAS RESOLVED that the Chairman, Cllr. Peter Hart, sign them as a correct record.

Minute 49.06(h) Cllr. Dennis Gill had spoken with the owners of the cottage that is currently rented and suggested that a letter should be written to the current tenants.
