MINUTES OF KINGTON LANGLEY PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN THE COMMITTEE ROOM OF THE VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 12 JUNE 2006

 

PRESENT:  Cllr. Peter Hart (Chairman), Cllr. Mrs. Betty Bird, Cllr. Keith Burton, Cllr. Mrs. Val Giles, Cllr. Simon Harris and County Councillor Jane Scott, plus Mrs. Sue Hart (Clerk).

 

APOLOGIES for absence were received from Cllr. Dennis Gill (Holiday), Cllr. Ms. Jill Saunders (Holiday), Cllr. Rev. John Schofield (School Governors’ Meeting) and Cllr. Euan Sudbury (Business commitments). Apologies were also received from District Councillor Peter Green.

 

The start of the meeting was delayed until 19:48 for a quorum of Councillors to be reached.

Minutes of the meeting held on 8 May 2006 had been circulated to all Councillors and were agreed by all. On a proposal from Cllr. Keith Burton, seconded by Cllr. Simon Harris, IT WAS RESOLVED that the Chairman, Cllr. Peter Hart, sign them as a correct record.

Cllr. Mrs. Betty Bird said that she had received a copy of a letter stating that Curzon Homes have appealed against the refusal of planning permission for the erection of 15 dwellings at The Barton. Councillors agreed that their position was unchanged hence a letter needs to be sent to the Planning Inspectorate by 4 July 06.
