ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN & DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE

 

On a proposal from Cllr. Simon Harris, seconded by Cllr. John Schofield, IT WAS RESOLVED unanimously that Cllr. Peter Hart be elected as Chairman. The Chairman signed his Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN & DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE

 

On a proposal from Cllr. John Schofield, seconded by Cllr. Simon Harris, IT WAS RESOLVED unanimously that Cllr. Keith Burton be elected as Vice-Chairman. The Vice-Chairman signed his Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

Minutes of the meeting held on 11 April 2005 had been circulated to all Councillors and were agreed by all. On a proposal from Cllr. Mrs. Betty Bird, seconded by Cllr. Dennis Gill, IT WAS RESOLVED that the Chairman, Cllr. Peter Hart, sign them as a correct record.

MATTERS ARISING

 

(a)     Minute 90.04 Bus Shelter – The Clerk updated the Council on the current status of the bus shelter. The base has now been laid but Highways Department are still resolving how to join the path from the shelter base with the road.

 

Cllr. Gill suggested that an extra litterbin should be put by the new shelter.

 

(b)     Minute 45.05 – Annual Spring Clean – Cllr. Peter Hart had attempted to tie in picking up village litter with the activities on the Scarecrow Weekend but this was not agreed by the Scarecrow Weekend organiser. He will now attempt to combine this with the village party activities on Saturday 11 June.
