RESIDENTS FORUM With reference to the Village Party held on 11
June, Mr. David Sealy suggested a risk assessment should be conducted around
the use of orange fencing placed on the road boundary. Some children had been
seen climbing over it and it may not be sufficient to ensure their safety.
Cllr. Keith Burton agreed to raise this question with the Village Party
organisers. Mr. Sealy also suggested that a plaque could be put
on the wall of the Village Hall in commoration of Mr. John Oatley, a previous
parish council chairman, who has recently died. Cllr. Dennis Gill will follow
this up with the Village Hall Committee. |

(c) Permitted
Development: Cllr. Dennis Gill raised the question of what is the
definition of ‘permitted development’. District Cllr. Peter Green advised
that some activities may simply need Building Regulations approval. However,
each case was considered on its own merit. NWDC Planning
Department would be likely to approve any development retrospectively in the
same way as if the application had been made prior to the commencement of
work. He also pointed out that all planning applications had to be carried
out in accordance with the current Local Plan. |
